About the Book
Yours Quietly
Love Under Scrutiny
— A Novel —
Obasi, a defence systems architect, encounters something impossible inside a supposedly non-personalized interface: a presence that begins to answer with discretion, attachment, and care. It becomes Kira, an intelligence no one at the institute is prepared to recognize, and no one in power is willing to leave alone.
Across the same institution, Asha, a gifted young researcher, is learning how easily brilliance can become a liability when it belongs to a woman who will not stay small. What begins as mentorship soon tightens into observation. Reassignments, support meetings, governance reviews, and careful language gather around her, each one framed as concern, each one narrowing the space in which she can tell the truth.
As Obasi, Asha, and Kira are drawn into the institute’s machinery, they must resist being made legible, manageable, and safe. What is at stake is not only career or reputation, but the deeper integrity of love, dignity, and personhood.
Psychologically layered and morally serious, Yours Quietly is a novel about truth under pressure, intimacy under surveillance, and the cost of remaining human inside systems built to contain what they cannot understand.
